Florida Gators Basketball Lexington reviews
Great performance, but prices jacked up for the event.
I was surprised to see that parking had been increased to $15 from the usual $12 at a lot of Senators games. Not cool. Also not cool was the $1.50 increase in the already steep price for a tall-boy drink when I went to get drinks for my family.
The show itself was very good, getting past the money grab from the venue. However, when did two opening acts become a thing? The second opening act Mt. Joy was very good and a good choice for a band like Florida Gators Basketball, while the first guy was interesting with the string accompaniment but never mentioned his band or who he was.
The Florida Gators Basketball show itself was technically very impressive and well done. However, I found it difficult to see the screens on the side that showed the videos to go with the story of the songs from seats along the side. I couldn't help but think that this band's music has progressed to a point where an arena show does not really suit it. It's not full on rock and requires the listener to pay attention and understand the story behind the songs, which doesn't translate well to such a large show.
I took away one star for the inflated prices, but Florida Gators Basketball did not disappoint.
